Brief Bio - Douglas Cohen For more than fifteen years, Douglas Cohen has been at the forefront of international trade and transactions. With senior positions in private law practice, IATA, the European Union, the U.S. Department of Commerce, and the global airline industry, Mr. Cohen has developed substantial expertise in global trade compliance, customs, international and government contracts, anti-trust, intellectual property, aviation/aerospace, and EU law and policy. At present, he is Senior Manager for Global Trade and Contracts at Worldwide Trade and Legal Associates (WWTL), where he provides legal and strategic counsel to companies seeking to develop and expand foreign markets. In addition, Mr. Cohen directs the Compliance Training division at WWTL, where he works with companies to create and improve their corporate training programs in import-export compliance, export control, data privacy, antitrust, and intellectual property. Major clients include leaders in aerospace, aviation, information technology, software, semiconductors, and telecomm. Mr. Cohen has been asked to teach at universities and train corporate leaders in international trade, global business, and international law in the United States, Asia, the Near East, and Europe. He is the author of numerous publications, webinars, and training DVDs in the fields of import-export compliance, international negotiations, foreign market entry, cross-cultural communications, Internet law, and intellectual property protection.
